Should I use 'request the pleasure of your company' or something simpler?
Both work. Formal invitations from the parents keep the traditional line; invitations from the couple read better as 'We are getting married — please join us'. The wording guide has 25 samples for each voice.
Can I write the message in English and the names in Tamil?
Yes. Names, the family message and event titles can each be in any script; the invitation pairs Noto Serif Tamil with your chosen English font at matching weight.
How do guests open it?
As a normal link in WhatsApp — it opens in the built-in browser on any phone, no app or download. A preview card with your names shows before it is tapped.
