Engagement invitation

An engagement invitation that sets the tone for the wedding.

Nichayathartham, roka, sagai or a simple ring ceremony — one animated page with the date, the venue, directions and a countdown. Live in five minutes, shared on WhatsApp, and the same design carries through to the wedding invitation.

  • Live in minutes
  • Directions and calendar
  • Same design for the wedding later
  • One-time payment

One event, done beautifully

An engagement is usually one evening at one venue, so the invitation should be short: the families, the couple, the date and time, the hall, and a warm line. Our engagement invitation uses the same animated designs as the wedding — the intro, the portraits, the finale — with a single event card for the ceremony.

Wording that fits the ceremony

  • Nichayathartham (Tamil): With the blessings of our elders, we invite you to the Nichayathartham of Chi. Arjun and Sow. Ananya on Saturday, 13 February 2027 at 6:30 PM.
  • Roka / Sagai (North Indian): Please join us for the Roka ceremony of Arjun and Ananya as our families come together on 13 February 2027.
  • Ring ceremony (modern): We said yes — now we would love to celebrate with you. Ring ceremony on 13 February 2027, 6:30 PM.

From engagement to wedding, one story

Choose a design and palette now; when the wedding dates are fixed, build the wedding invitation in the same design so guests see one continuous story. Many families send the engagement invitation to the inner circle and use a Save the Date for the wider list at the same time.

FAQ

Can the engagement and the wedding be on the same invitation?

Yes. Add the engagement as the first event and the muhurtham and reception after it — each with its own venue and timings. Or keep the engagement separate for a smaller list.

Is there a countdown to the engagement?

Yes. The countdown runs to your main event; for an engagement-only invitation that is the ceremony itself.

Can I add a dress code or a note?

Each event has a note field — dress code, parking, 'dinner will be served' — shown on the card.
